The Sermon - The Beatitudes

Blessed are...Jesus' words that open the Sermon on the Mount have so often to our ears and way of thinking, sounded like something we need to strive for. How can we be more poor in spirit, more sad, more meek so that we can be more blessed? But that's not Jesus' invitation at all. Rather, Jesus is inviting us to see how his kingdom is already here and how we're invited to participate in and celebrate what God is doing.
