Psalm 131 | Something to Ponder on Long Walks A child is dependent and relies on her mother just like all humans are dependent and reliant on God. However, as we get older and more independent from our parents we sometimes forgot about our reliance on God. This Psalm reminds us to stop and remember. Remembering how great God is reminds us how small we are. Come Sunday to quiet ourselves and rest in the hope God gives. Please join us this Sunday as we have a conversation around this Psalm that is both timely and relevant for us today. Our service begins at 10 AM at the Parkdale Cromdale Community League (11335-85 St.) We look forward to being with you!
gathers for worship at 11335-85 Street in Edmonton, Alberta at 10:00 on Sunday mornings, at the Parkdale Cromdale Community League . We are a new church plant rooted in the exciting and emerging district of Alberta Avenue, gathering for worship in the beautiful neighbourhood of Parkdale, in our great city of Edmonton. Coffee and refreshments are served at 9:30 am.
Avenue Church came into being in response to God’s call to love our city of Edmonton. In particular it felt called to be rooted in the Alberta Avenue district. This community is a place where our staff gladly serve. It is also a community where they are proud to call home. To learn more about the Avenue Church team, please click on the link above.
Avenue Church recognizes that many people have been hurt by or have become disillusioned by the church. Many now question its relevance in our society. Avenue Church is imagining what the church could actually be like if we took Jesus at his word. As such, we are seeking to be a community to belong in and a community to serve with.
