What is God Like? Like a River Glorious:  Revelation 22:1-5

December 18th, 2022

“Like a river glorious is God’s perfect peace” begins the hymn written in 1876 by a woman in the midst of a severe illness.  The image of God being like a river is one of life and hope.  Just as we are drawn to the rivers of nature so we are drawn to the river of God.  But is this true?  Are we really being drawn to the river?  Or are we walking away from the river?  What are the barriers to coming to the river?  And, as this is the advent season, what does the coming of Jesus have to do with God being like a river?   Join us as we explore these questions and also celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.
