God's Judgement, Justice and Hope: You Will Go Out In Joy - Isaiah 55

When you think of the season leading up to Christmas, what are some words that come to mind? For me, words like "stressful" and "frantic" come to mind with all of the busyness and preparations and expenses that somehow have become associated with this time of year. But how about the word "joy"? Is that word a part of our Advent vocabulary?

As we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent, "Gaudete Sunday", we are called to joy (Gaudete = rejoice in Latin). In Isaiah 55, we'll discover what an incredible call it is: God's joy in saving and redeeming his creation and our joy in discovering his heart of love and redemption for us.
