God's Judgement, Justice and Hope: The Book of Isaiah

When you hear the words "judgement, justice and hope" what do you think of? How does it make you feel? Do the words seem like they don't belong in the same sentence?

In the book of Isaiah, we see how God's people have lost their way, forgetting God's heart and way, to their harm and the harm of those around them. God has a message for his people through Isaiah: it's a message of judgement, justice and hope. Yes, all of these words belong together because God's heart is not one of wanting to smite his creation, but rather a heart of love that seeks restoration and renewal. This is a message that is as relevant for us today as ever.
