The Way of the Cross: Belief in Unbelief

Have you ever wanted to believe in something so badly it hurt? Maybe it was for a career path to open. Maybe it was for a healing for yourself or for someone else. In that place of trying to believe, did you find yourself actually in a pit of unbelief?

As we continue our Lenten journey with Jesus in The Way of the Cross, we encounter a man in Mark 9, who so desperately wanted to believe that Jesus could heal his son but instead found himself at the centre of an argument, stuck with his grief and disappointment. Into this chaos and mess, Jesus arrived and invited this man to believe, to trust him even as the man was drowning in unbelief.
