At Avenue Church, people from all walks of life come together in community. We understand that for many, church has been a source of hurt, disappointment, or disillusionment. Others wonder whether the church still has a meaningful place in today’s world.
That’s why we’re asking a different question: What could the church look like if we truly took Jesus at His word?

We are proud to be an Entry Point of Lodgepole Communitas. Our communitas is made up of distinct pathways for active engagement and involvement, known as entry points. These entry points offer unique approaches to ceremony, interlaced with threads of justice, neighbourliness and healing. We strive to connect individuals within our community along a shared journey.

Growing in Faith, Embracing Diversity, Reflecting Christ’s Love in Every Step
Avenue Church is deeply rooted in Edmonton’s Alberta Avenue neighbourhood.
Alberta Ave is a vibrant and diverse community where people from many backgrounds live, work, and connect. Our neighbourhood is home to newcomers, Indigenous peoples, individuals and families from all income levels and educational backgrounds, as well as a thriving arts and business community.
We also share this space with neighbours who are unhoused or living on fixed incomes, reflecting the rich diversity that makes Alberta Avenue unique.
As an entry point of Lodgepole Communitas, we share our space with other community groups and ministries, including St. Faith’s Anglican Church. Because of this partnership, our worship service is held at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday at Lodgepole Communitas (11725–93 Street) and is also available via livestream beginning at 9:30 a.m.
