What to Expect.

At Avenue Church, we value community and connection with one another! You can expect to be greeted by one of our regulars, some coffee, and some snacks. We worship together, pray, a sermon is given, as well there is time to share our thoughts at the end of the service through table conversations. Avenue is a place of love and belonging and therefore all people from all walks of life are welcome.     

Sermons.

Whether it be Pastor Loretta or a guest preacher, we like to focus on the good news of the gospel message.  The message of grace and forgiveness through the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinitarian God.

Sharing Sunday.

The second Sunday of every month we host a Sharing Sunday where someone from our community share a piece of the story God has given them. Instead of formal kids ministry on these Sundays we have a kids space set up at the back so they can participate in the service alongside their families. After the service, the sharing continues as we enjoy a potluck lunch together in the PrayerWorks hall.

Prayer.

Prayer is a central practice for our family at Avenue Church. On a Sunday morning, there are a few people who would be happy to spend time in prayer with you. Also, office hours are being worked out where drop-in prayer with one of our pastors or community will be available.
