Waiting for the Light: Peace In Surrender

Pastor Aaron

December 19th, 2021

Peace. In a world that is torn by division and conflict, where anxiety, stress, busyness and loneliness seem to define our days, the idea of peace seems distant, even impossible. And yet, here we are, the 4th Sunday of Advent and we are invited to discover once again God's peace for our lives and for our world. How is this even possible?

To explore God's invitation to peace, we visit a story that's not usually told during the Advent season that comes from later in Jesus' life - his miraculous feeding of the 5000. In it we will discover how God invites us to embrace our limits and acknowledge our fears so that we may surrender those to him and in the process, find his peace.
