Baptism Sunday: "Like a Little Child"

This Sunday, we have the privilege of celebrating the sacrament of baptism with one of Avenue Church's newest members, Elijah! In this celebration, we see Jesus' hospitality, welcome and grace that he spoke in Mark 10: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." We also have the opportunity to reflect on Jesus' warning: "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
