Prayer and Faith - James 5:13-20

I saw a question posted to social media recently: "Do you believe in God and in the power of prayer?" How would you answer that? Some responses I saw said yes to the first question and no to the second. I understand. With how difficult life can be, I can still believe that there is a God but it sure seems like he isn't listening to or answering our prayers.

In his letter, James encourages the church to be praying for one another. What's more he instructs them to expect God to answer in powerful ways! But instead of giving us a formula for the proper words or a way to pray with maximum effort to get what we want in prayer, James calls us to something else - an intimate and trusting relationship with God.
