Psalm 34:1-8 Taste And See

Here's a strange question...have you ever tasted fear? Have you ever been in such a frightening situation that you could almost taste the fear? David found himself in such a situation when he was being hunted by Saul and feared for his very life. Yet, in Psalm 34 we read that God was faithful to deliver David from his fear. And in the midst of that, David asks a very interesting question. Instead of tasting fear, would you "Taste and see that the Lord is good"?
