The Sermon - The Reign of God: Matthew 5:3-12

Come join us as we continue to wrestle with the Sermon on the Mount.  This week we will take a closer look at the Beatitudes and their connection to both the prophet Isaiah and Jesus’ parables.  As we do this it will become clear that the Beatitudes are not lofty ideals which we are called to live up to but can never attain.  Rather they illuminate and help us understand the characteristics of the reign of God and invite us in to participate in God’s kingdom with joy and hope.
