What is God Like? God is Like A Gardener

As we continue our Advent series wondering what God is like, we come to the image of God as a gardener. Scripture is full of verses that show how loving, caring, attentive and generous God is as he sows seeds, tends to his garden and nurtures it to grow. John 15 also speaks of God as the gardener who prunes the branches that bear fruit. While the thought of being pruned may not be the most exciting, it does speak volumes of God's great love and care for us, an important reminder as we light the candle of love this Sunday.
