Do You Want To Be Made Well? - John 5:1-16

Jesus has a habit of asking uncomfortable questions. "Who do you say that I am?" "Why are you so afraid?" "Do you love me?" or this week's question: "Do you want to be made well?"

It's an uncomfortable question because the answer, you might think, would be obvious. But as Jesus so often does, he turns the obvious upside down and invites us to explore some of the hidden beliefs, biases and narratives which might be holding us back from him and the fullness that he has for us.
